“I think in general, furniture plays a big role on a wedding day. You can have the most beautiful dress, design, and venue, but if you put janky chairs for guests to sit, it can ruin the whole design.”
WHAT FURNITURE PIECES DO YOU LOVE SEEING AT WEDDINGS?
“I LOVE seeing a comfortable, yet beautiful sofa on wedding day. Posing couples on it is so fun, too!
You can easily get a vogue-looking photo with the right sofa.
A dining table is also important. I love being able to capture the bride + groom candidly when they're interacting during the reception. A beautiful table / table scape makes those shots so pretty.”
WHAT FURNITURE TRENDS ARE YOU SEEING IN THE WEDDING INDUSTRY?
“Since we're in the middle of the pandemic, we’re seeing smaller guest counts. So, I’m something a lot of couples choose comfortable mix and match seatings/lounge groups.
I expect that this look is going to be big this year and next year.”
WHAT SHOULD BRIDES KNOW ABOUT POSING? HOW DO YOU KEEP IT FUN?
“Don't look at the photographer, focus on each other instead!
I mean…yes, sometimes we do ask you to look at the camera, but most of the time, your wedding photographer just wants to capture the love you have for each other!
When you work with Glorious Moments, we don't try to pose you. We try to help you make memories with each other while we're capturing those moments.
Think about enjoying your moment over striking a pose.”
AS A PHOTOGRAPHER, HOW DO YOU BALANCE CAPTURING A BRIDE'S VISION FOR A SHOT AND CAPTURING THEM AUTHENTICALLY IN A MOMENT?
“We try to invest in each couple by building a more personal relationship throughout the wedding planning journey.
So on your wedding day, we will capture your wedding photos through a friend's perspective to make sure that you have lifelong memories while also making sure that you look like a million bucks!”
HOW CAN SOMEONE GET THE MOST OUT OF THEIR FURNITURE AT THEIR EVENT?
“If there is a specific shot style, pose, or aesthetic you want, it’s best to communicate that to your photographer in advance. It’s very common for couples to have shot ideas they like, but remember two things:
Your photographer is only going to be able to capture the you that you share. If you want a sassy, fun picture, you better bring the sass.
If you want a cute picture of you both laughing, then remember to be yourself and have fun like it’s a date. Enjoy your special day and let your photographer help your remember it.Trust your design. If you’ve designed a beautiful event, your photographer will be able to capture it in many little moments you’ll remember forever.”
