The One-Month-Out Wedding Planning Checklist
Your dream day is one month away!
By this time, you’ve made a lot of decisions - go you! Maybe you’ve bought a dress, picked your bridesmaids details, and booked most everything that needs to be booked.
BUT, THERE ARE LIKELY STILL A FEW LINGERING THINGS… SO AS THE EXCITEMENT ESCALATES, MAKE SURE YOU'VE ASKED YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS!
1. What did you plan to DIY that you haven't done yet?
As the wedding day approaches, it's common (and possibly encouraged) for brides to forget about those DIY dreams.
It happens every time - maybe it was the table numbers or the scripted signs, and it's always nagging in the back of your mind.
Our advice? Assign it to someone else or go ahead and buy/rent it already made.
As you enter crunch time, it’s best to focus on crossing things off the list - whether that’s actually doing it yourself or passing it off to someone.
2. If you're having an outdoor wedding, what's does the weather forecast mean for your planning?
*Cue the dreaded forecast check.
Now is not the time to stress over the forecast, but to consider the weather trends. It could be time to think about:
fans
outdoor space heaters
blankets for your guests
Being prepared for any weather outcome will alleviate the stress and anxiety of not knowing.
3. Have you made a seating chart? It’s officially time.
This doesn't sound fun to most wedding planners, but it’s about time to make it a top priority.
Stop procrastinating and make a seating chart. You got this!
We recommend using these categories to help assign and group people to tables:
Bridal party
Immediate family
Extended family
Friends and groups of friends
Family friends
Misc. people your mom made you invite
4. Delegate! Who is handling the little decorating for the ceremony and reception day-of?
Don't try to do it all yourself... especially the day-of.
And please, don't put your mom, cousin, or aunt to work on your wedding day. They will probably offer, but it's a special day for them, too.
This day is important to you and your family. Don’t miss a single moment.
Get it handled. Get your hair done. Enjoy a mimosa. YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED.
